A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME

Between 2020 and 2021, I spent the longest stay in China since high school. During my time in my hometown, I revisited where I used to live when I was little. Some of those walls and buildings changed or torn down, and some remained the same many years ago. It is one of the city's oldest parts and bonds with people’s memories. Urban space has always been one of my favorite subjects in photography. Even in foreign lands, I found strong connections between people and spaces. Those architectures are evidence of time and human activities; thus, I think it is important to archive them in my way before they disappear. With photographs, those places will be preserved as the city's history in form of photographs.
